#LHD NEW YORK FASHION WEEK GUIDE

Showtime!

The Webster’s Founder and President, Laure Heriard Dubreuil, is off and running because this #NYFW show calendar is packed with presentations, parties, and plenty of runway shows. What’s new, what’s hot, and what’s a must-do when you’ve only got 24-hours to experience the fall-winter ‘18 collections? Let our front row veteran, LHD lead the way.

The Fall/Winter ‘18 collections are well underway, and while it feels like the ultimate tease to see fresh fall pieces (perfect for right now!) that won’t be available to purchase until late summer, a lot of designers are adopting the see now-buy now business model. Here at The Webster, we love to offer collections for pre-order, as well as the best of the best seasonless new arrivals for womenswear and menswear. This season, my fashion week wardrobe is concordant with a well-rounded global wardrobe. I am stoked to incorporate Proenza Schouler, Rosie Assoulin, and Calvin Klein 205W39NYC into my day-to-day outfits! And, for those after 8:00 PM events—I am proud to be hosting Natacha Ramsay-Levi’s Spring Summer ‘18 collection debut for Chloé with a star-studded dinner fete—I am excited to do a few of my new OOTT and ultra-glamorous after-hours attire outfits from favorites including Juan Carlos Obando, and Marni. For a few perfect transitional pieces, that seamlessly and stylishly go from day-to-night, I look to cool and on-trend pieces from Off-White and Alexa Chung because, with a jam-packed agenda, my clothes must be as multifaceted as me.

Want LHD’s stellar street style look? Shop similar styles like Calvin Klein 205W39NYC’s oversized coat,
Maison Labiche exclusive Bonjour Miami topMarni pencil skirt, Aurelie Biderman Baby Chivor
and Proenza Schouler hobo bag.

Fashion week is almost as glamorous as it is exhausting. Running around from show to show—not to mention, maintaining your normal workload, while wearing a smile for the street style photographers—requires one to be in excellent shape. To keep my mind calm and my body lean, each morning at 5:00 AM I can be found at The Class by Taryn Toomey. To tone in style, try a fitted bra top by Yeezy paired with elasticated stirrup pants by Paco Rabanne. For your to-and-fro workout look, opt for Sies Marjan’s Pippa shearling peacoat, knitted striped neckband by J.W. Anderson, Heron Preston’s printed backpack, and Flycrew glitter sneakers by Valentino.

 Fashion Week Invitations.

Each season there are always a few shows that are the must-attend shows, and while Alexander Wang is always among that list, this one’s a must-not-miss as he recently announced that after this collection he wouldn’t be holding traditional fashion Shows anymore. I’m also looking forward to attending Gabriela Hearst, Sies Marjan, Calvin Klein 205W39NYC, and Esteban Cortazar’s first New York show.

Shop Laure’s look via up-and-coming American designers like Rosie Assoulin, and American fashion houses like Coach. For a more straightforward approach, get the look with Barrie’s embroidered button cardigan, Jacquemus Sol asymmetrical and ruffled skirt, Aquazzura Nathalie sandals, and Gucci’s soft supreme carry-on night courier duffle.

This season, Spring Studios is the official host for New YorkFashion Week
and every editor, buyer, Influencer, model, and photographers home for the next week!

Standout for snaps from your favorite street style photographers (Greg Kessler! Phil Oh! Tamu!)
with a bright yellow coat and prints galore. For similar styles check-out, Rosie Assoulin
tied neckline blouse; La Double J midi skirt and Heimat Atlantica bag.

Front Row at all the best shows.

This season I’m especially excited to see The Webster’s designers—veteran brands like Adam Lippes, Dundas, and The Row, and young rising talents including Amiri, Cinque,
Wandler—latest collections.

When in doubt about what to wear, I always go back to a midi skirt and statement sweater. For
similar styles, shop La Double J’s apres midi printed skirt to wear with Sonia Rykiel’s Secret
graphic intarsia wool sweater, and topped off with a pair of Lapima Carlota sunglasses.

And, then there are all of the fashion week parties! Shine bright from day to night in showstoppers like Halpern’s sequin mini dress and Gianvito Rossi high sandals. For Garage Magazine’s bash, the Telfar after party at C21, and Adwoa Aboah, The Last Magazine, and Burberry Host A Fashion Week Party at Radegast Hall + Biergarten.

Weather the wintertime snows in sleek and chic coats, like a Bryce peacoat by Stella McCartney.

Functional fashion is all about handsfree fair. Valentino’s le shocking leather rock stud spike belt bag is a perfect pouchette to hold all of your show invites. Make it your own and add 032C pin set allegiance.

Need a quick coffee break? Hauser & Wirth’s Roth Bar, which also houses a well-curated bookshop, is a cool, quiet outpost for lattes and little snacks. Need a matcha pick-me-up en route from Milk Studios to the Upper East Side, Cha Cha Matcha may have a line, but the coconut matcha latte is worth the wait.

Like what you see? From left to right check-out these similar styles: Marni silk crepe de chine
maxi dress and Linda Farrow cat-eye sunglasses, Barrie’s classic Bretan striped jumper,
and Eva Fehren large enamel pendant necklace.

Fashion week can often feel like a family reunion. Think about it, the fashion world—from international press to Scandinavian street style stars—all comes together in one city. It’s a great time to catch-up with old friends and sometimes even, meet new friends. Here, I’m catching up with my longtime pal and Creative Director at Maisonette, Jessica Sailer Van Lith.

That’s all for now, see you later in London for #LFW!

Love,
#LHD
