The Webster Launches The Webster Kids

NEW YORK (September 2018) - Taking inspiration from the vintage tee’s that her son loves, Founder & Creative Director of The Webster Laure Heriard Dubreuil launches The Webster Kids.

The debut children’s collection brings The Webster’s iconic flamingo logo to life.  A play on the iconic I Heart NY tees, illustrator Sandie Sonke developed six exclusive graphics featuring The Webster Kids mascot, Pinky the Flamingo, and his affinity for each of the Webster boutiques’ current locations, Miami, California, New York and Houston. Comprising of two styles, a crew-neck sweatshirt ($75) and a t-shirt ($40), the soft and faded colorful tops are available in size 2T to 8 years.

Together with the ready-to-wear line, The Webster Kids launches a hardcover children’s book, The Adventures of Pinky: Friends in Fun Places written by Emily James. The story brings Pinky to life though a warm and playful tale where Pinky learns while touring the globe that it’s the friends you meet, more than the places you go, that make life’s adventures so special.

‘The flamingo for me is really the symbol of Miami, the home of The Webster South Beach and our very first store. We designed our own flamingo almost 10 years ago which has become our company mascot and I think synonymous with The Webster. I wanted Webster Kids to have a distinct identity, intrinsic to the world of The Webster and so we are bringing our mascot to life via Pinky – through a children’s collection and book! It’s a project I’ve wanted to do for a few years, I’m so excited to see Pinky fly off the pages of the book and come alive in our tees and sweatshirts.’ Laure Heriard Dubreuil Founder & CEO of The Webster

The Webster Kids launches September 6th with a private event co-hosted by Maisonette at The Webster Soho. Following the launch, plans are for The Webster Kids to drop 1-2 capsules a year.

The Webster Kids joins a rapidly growing yet curated children’s business at The Webster including Gucci, Lingua Franca, Bonpoint and Pierre Hardy at select stores and online.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of The Adventures of Pinky: Friends in Fun Places and The Webster Kids apparel will go to mothers2mothers, a global not-for-profit organization leading global efforts in Sub Saharan Africa to end pediatric AIDS, ensuring good health and wellbeing for everyone, and achieving gender equality
