Known for their intrecciato woven leather design, heritage brand Bottega Veneta was founded in Vicenza, Italy in 1966 by entrepreneurs Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro. Holding up its time-honored values of quality and craftsmanship, the house emerged as one of the world’s premier luxury brands, where the artisans combined their traditional skills with ongoing innovation in leather goods. Evolving with the fashion landscape through the decades, Bottega Veneta omitted visible logos on all its products to evoke a sense of discreet luxury for the self-assured woman.
In 2018, the brand appointed British designer Daniel Lee as its creative director. Lee, a graduate of Central Saint Martins and previously the director of ready-to-wear design at Céline, has steered the identity of the Italian house into a stealth elegance that is timeless and sophisticated with pieces made to be lived in while expanding the brand’s ready-to-wear collections.
