Born in Milan, Lorenza Bozzoli studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera before moving to New York in 1985 to work as a stylist for Italian brands such as Fiorucci, Sergio Rossi, and Camper, amongst others. In 1996, she turned her attention towards industrial design, working in collaboration with manufacturers from around the world including Alessi, Dedon, Moooi, and Dilmos.
In 2013, the designer’s Phaedrus chair, an ergonomic chaise lounge without legs, won the EESC European Award for Excellent Sustainable Design. Bozzoli’s work incorporates fashion’s sensibility for statement and expression with function that blends a multitude of styles and character.
