Creative director Virginie Viard ushers in the next era at Chanel while staying true to the French house’s storied legacy. Founded in 1909 by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, the maison played a vital role in transforming women’s fashion with influence that has endured more than a century.

After the passing of Karl Lagerfeld, whose 36-year run as creative director revitalized and sustained the brand’s reign at the forefront of the industry, Viard, Lagerfeld’s right-hand woman and the house’s Fashion Creation Studio Director, was appointed to the coveted role. Previously a costume designer for film and theatre, Viard began her tenure at Chanel as an intern in 1987 and has since been in the peripheral contributing to the brand’s success for over three decades. Set out to continue carrying out Lagerfeld’s and synonymously Chanel’s creative vision, Viard brings with her an unparalleled connection to the house.

From MONOGRAM, the first cannabis line by Shawn 'JAY-Z' Carter, comes a limited run of super premium prints featured in the brand’s latest campaign, ‘The Good Life, Redefined.’ Starring an updated cast of diverse personalities, the iconic work reimagines the legendary photos of renowned mid-century American photographer Slim Aarons through a contemporary lens - one that illustrates the dynamic, expanding landscape of modern luxury, and how it intersects with a new chapter in cannabis culture.

Photographer Hype Williams serves as the campaign's present-day Aarons, bringing an inspired creativity to his role in depicting what the good life looks like today, which encompasses a lifestyle that cannabis has the right to be a part of. A total of seven vignettes from Aarons’ original collection – including "Keep Your Cool," "Desert House Party," "Poolside Glamour" and "Leisure and Fashion" — were reshot by Williams, styled by High Snobiety Fashion Director Corey T. Stokes and feature talent including 'Best New Artist' Grammy nominee Chika, New York-based trio of culinary experts & activists Ghetto Gastro, rapper & songwriter Curren$y, designer & stylist Aleali May, and fashion & beauty model Slick Woods.
