Founded in 1909 in Hamburg, Germany, Montblanc was officially established in 1908 with the introduction of the “Rouge et Noir” fountain pen. Cementing its status as the pinnacle of writing instruments, the company’s name was inspired by the highest peak of the Alps, which is also represented by the brand’s signature white star emblem. In 1924, the “Meisterstück” pen propelled Montblanc into international reverence with its timeless design.
A decade later, the brand expanded into leather goods which included pen pouches and notebooks. In the 80s, a renaissance period started for the heritage company, leading to the introduction of its Meisterstück Solitaire collection. In an exclusive collaboration with The Webster, the Solitaire pen, engraved with our signature flamingo logo, is featured in a stationary set with our official Pantone pink ink alongside a logo printed leather notebook.
