The grandson of master English tailors, high-fashion was in Neil Barrett’s blood. A graduate of Central Saint Martins and Royal College of Art, Neil started his career as Senior Men’s Designer at Gucci, until he helped launch Prada Menswear. Neil innovated traditional menswear into one that utilized Italian craftsmanship with English tailoring, as well as modern cuts and high-tech sportswear. His minimal aesthetic followed him to his namesake label which debuted in Florence in 1999. His timeless cuts and acute attention to detail are hallmarks of his brand.
In 2006 he introduced contemporary womenswear to his brand that included the same signature style and impeccable construction. Neil Barrett is one of the only brands to have a production division based in Tuscany where 85% of all products are created by artisan producers.
