Known for creating unique minaudières resembling bound literary classics, Olympia Le-Tan launched her eponymous Paris-based accessories line in 2009, embroidering all of her first pieces by hand on her mother’s kitchen table. Born in London and raised in Paris, Le-Tan’s father is the celebrated illustrator Pierre Le-Tan. Having worked under Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel and Gilles Dufour at Balmain, Le-Tan earned a reputation as an inventive designer with a finger on the pulse.

The designer’s eclectic and whimsical creations have garnered a cult following of bibliophile style mavens, winning adoration for her wearable versions of first-edition works like Catcher in the Rye, Doctor Zhivago and For Whom the Bell Tolls, all painstakingly detailed and finished with Liberty-print interior lining. The line has since expanded to include quirky ready-to-wear with playful prints and romantic details, evoking a fantastical nostalgia with pin-up sex appeal, made to match her bags.
