Based in Beirut, Lebanese jewelry designer Ralph Masri had gained widespread recognition years before establishing his namesake line with its first collection introduced in 2013. Having lived in Lebanon, Canada, and France, Masri, whose parents are also in the jewelry business, moved to London to train as a jeweler at Central Saint Martins where he won the Swarovski Award as a first-year student, bestowing him with the opportunity to work with the global brand. While still in school, Masri collaborated and worked for other leading jewelry brands around the world before graduating in 2011.
He opened his first showroom in 2014 in Beirut and in 2016, was named an honorary Fine Jewelry Winner of the 2016 Vogue Fashion Prize. Masri’s creations preserve the identity of costume jewelry while reinterpreting that essence with his passion for architecture, informed by geometrical shapes and forms.
