Born in Dublin, Ireland to John Rocha, a renowned fashion designer, Simone was surrounded by fashion at a young age working at her father’s atelier from ages 13 to 18. She debuted her first collection in 2010 during London Fashion Week at the Tate Modern, the same year she graduated from Central Saint Martins with an MA in fashion.
Rebellious and romantic, her designs expertly capture and merge masculinity and femininity into one all-encompassing style. While staying minimal, the looks are sharp and strong. Rocha says they are inspired by strong women. Her feminine color palettes juxtapose with the edgy fabrics and experimental cutting techniques. Her innovative designs have seen wrapped cellophane and heavily embroidered lace.
