Finishing her study at London’s Central Saint Martins, Stella’s graduate collection was modeled by friends Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and more. Her instant success prompted a role as the Creative Director of Chloé, following Karl Lagerfeld’s departure.
In 2001, she left to launch her eponymous brand that has become one of the leaders in the sustainable vegan fashion movement. Her signature label includes mens and womenswear that embraces a downtown chic, day-to-night wardrobe. Stella uses graphic color treatments and a sportswear-inspired aesthetic to create clothes infused with confidence and femininity. Her technical fabrics, sophisticated cuts and streamlined lines are whimsical and wildly covetable, all while avoiding fur and leather.
