Famous for his legendary red gowns, Valentino Garavani's house of haute couture has always favorited by the elite women of the world, including Jackie-Kennedy Onassis and Elizabeth Taylor. Since founding his house in Florence, Italy in 1959, the ethereal glamour that Valentino established is still a key part of the brand's magic.
Succeeded by Pierpaolo Piccioli, who had been designing accessories for the brand since 1999, Valentino has gained new foothold with a younger generation. Everpresent is the signature romance, while Piccioli reinterprets the aesthetic to suit the contemporary everyday wear, and a stronger street-sensibility for menswear. For womenswear, this translates to full lace pieces, lush satin gowns, flowing dresses and charming accessories to match.
