Jeanne Lanvin founded the label in 1889, it is Paris' oldest French couture house. The brand matriarch made a name for herself as a milliner, expanded into making children’s clothes and soon after developed an entire lifestyle brand based in her Faubourg Saint-Honoré flagship boutique. During the roaring twenties, Lanvin was ubiquitous among the international fashion and arts scene, showcasing feminine yet avant garde designs for the epoch.
Lanvin has housed some of the most talented creative directors in recent generations, including Alber Elbaz, Lucas Ossendrijver, Bouchra Jarrar and Olivier Lapidus. They all offered their own interpretations of chic all while paying homage to Jeanne Lanvin’s original designs.
