Founded in 2014 by Rhuigi Villaseñor in Los Angeles, RHUDE focuses on minimalistic effortless style mixed with streetwear sensibilities, using fine fabrics and hones in on fit. Originally from the Philippines, Villaseñor’s interest in fashion was piqued by watching his mother sew school uniforms growing up. The L.A. designer began his collection with a selection of t-shirts—namely a black and white bandana tee that catapulted the brand into celebrity acclaim—which often adopt social commentary of the city he creates in.
Early success and wide recognition came from endorsements by West Coast power players like Kendrick Lamar and Kobe Bryant, among other celebrities and star athletes. From embroidered coach jackets to Traxedo Pants—a hybrid track pant with trouser detailing—Rhude celebrates youth and elegance through simple and functional clothes. All products are made in the U.S.A, with materials sourced from different parts of the world.
