MOTHERS 2 MOTHERS

MOTHERS2MOTHERS
Support the power of mothers to end pediatric AIDS.

m2m trains and employs women living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa to become role models who help women and families at health facilities and in their communities access essential services and medical care, start on any treatment they need, and continue with their health journey. From an initial focus on stopping mothers living with HIV from passing on the virus to their unborn babies, m2m now delivers a range of services for newborns, children, adolescents and families, to ensure the whole community thrives, not just survives.

Despite tremendous progress over the last decade, more than 250 babies are still infected with HIV each day in sub-Saharan Africa, African mothers are over 100 times more likely to die than those in the US, and young women are the new face of HIV, with around 6,000 infected globally each week.

Yet, m2m has created jobs for over 10,000 women living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa since its creation in 2001, and these Mentor Mothers have reached over 11M women and children under two. Together we can reach even more, and we will.

But m2m needs your support. There are many ways to join the m2m family and they’d love to meet with you to discuss how you can help m2m reach even more women and their families by supporting and connecting m2m to the networks you have. Please be in touch with their team.
