In 1941 Lillian Cahn was inspired by a baseball. After working with 12 artists she debuted a collection of 12 handbags that, like a baseball glove, were made from tan leather and featured excellent stitch work. The New York-based company then flourished into men’s and women’s accessories until it became a household name. In its current era the brand is considered a leader in luxury handbags and accessories.
In 2014, following a 16-year tenure, Reed Krakoff stepped down and British designer Stuart Vevers, formerly at Mulberry and Loewe, was named the new creative director. Vevers is breathing a new youthful life to the brand. He introduced a new mens and womens vintage-inspired ready-to-wear collection, and introduced the brand’s new mascot, Rexy the dinosaur. Discover more of the collection which features varsity jackets, slip dresses and knitwear.
