Channeling Bauhaus, art deco, and minimalism, Hadar Michaëla Nornberg launched her eponymous jewelry line in 2015, with pieces made in Paris and Tel Aviv. The Swiss-born Israeli artist creates with geometrical shapes, plays on reflections, and dualities between space and light, for an end-product that is distinctly modern. The details in Nornberg’s pieces are accentuated by exterior matte finishes that hold luminous interiors.
Having worked under Rick Owens for the four years prior to the launch of her line, Nornberg has a developed affinity for unfussy aesthetics that are reflected in her designs. Refined characteristics like overlapping circular forms from the Tracing collection, as well as angular hard lines from the Still collection are comprised of influences from the many cities Nornberg has lived in, including Geneva, Tokyo, New York, and Paris. Easy wearability is offered by timeless silhouettes that pair well with more classical jewelry.
